My Mom's Orange Salad
If you come to our house for a holiday, you are sure to see Orange Salad on the table. The kids love it and I can remember always having it for special occasions. This is a yummy treat at the holidays.
1 (3oz) pkg Orange Jello
1c. hot tea, freshly brewed
1 (11oz) can mandarin oranges
1 (8oz) can crushed pineapple
1 (8oz) can water chestnuts, drained
Dissolve gelatin in hot tea. Drain oranges and pinapple and use juices for second cup of liquid. Mix in oranges, pineapple, and sliced water chestnuts. Pour into mold. Chill until set. Makes 6-8 servings.
